Home Learning

Homework will be set every Friday and will be due back in on a Wednesday. Homework is set to consolidate the weeks learning and not as a new topic; however, if your child is struggling with the homework then they should bring it in on Monday and I will happily go through it with them during lunch. Should homework not be completed then children will stay in and complete it on Wednesday lunchtime.

Spellings will be set every Friday and these will be tested the following Friday.

There is a link to the Oxford Dictionary on here should one not be available at home; however, one of the skills the children must have as part of the National Curriculum is the ability to look up words in a dictionary (we do practise this skill in class).

By Year 6 the children should know all their times tables up to 12 x and the inverse. Children will be tested on mixed tables every Friday and after Christmas they will also be tested on the inverse.
