I hope all the children have an enjoyable Christmas break. Just a quick note to say our next topic is “Polar Adventures” and if the children wish to do any research, create a poster, write out some facts etc they are more than welcome to 😃

We will be looking at polar animals, the Arctic and Antarctica, world maps and different climates & habitats.

Lights, Camel, Action Nativity Hand Jive

22nd November: This week instead of formal homework, I have asked all the children to learn this hand jive off by heart that we have been practising in class and learn any lines they have.
The nativity is in 2 weeks so it is crucial lines are being learnt every night. I have also told the children that this can be written in their reading record books and will count towards home reading raffle tickets!
Thank you for all of your support
Miss Scanlon

I have not set homework for the half term and hope the children have a fun and enjoyable half term!

However I have let them know that our next topic is 'Tin Hats and Lots of Rats' all about World War One and that they are welcome to do some research, create a poster or small project if they wish too.

We will be focusing on the animals used during World War One and in our science we will be looking at materials and linking it to the materials weapons and uniform were made from.

Thank you for all of your support during Term 1.

Hope you all have a restful half term,

Miss Scanlon
