Times Table Learning

Thorough knowledge of times tables is key to making all areas of maths learning easier.

Children begin to learn their times tables from Year 1 and should be secure in all tables up to 12x and their inverse by the end of Year 4.

As a school we focus on supporting the children's learning of times tables and have a variety of ways in which we do this.:

• We use Times Table Rockstars (TTRS) and children are given time in school to play games to build confidence and speed of recall (every child from Year 1 upwards has an individual login, this can be found in the back of their Reading Record Book for use at home). 
• We have daily practise sheets that children can use as part of their morning work before lessons begin.
• Specific tables are set for children to learn as part of their homework and they will be tested on these on a Friday morning.
