Trips and Visitors

Royal Engineers Museum

Tuesday 3rd December 2019

We have organised an exciting trip for Year 2 to the Royal Engineers Museum.

The children will get to participate in 2 workshops, have a tour of the museum and a visit to the gift shop for a small souvenir.

Please can I have consent forms and money returned to myself or the school office as soon as possible and no later than Monday 25th November 2019.

Should you need another letter and/or consent form, please ask at the school office.

Many thanks for all of your continuous support,

Miss Scanlon

Hansel and Gretel Day

To celebrate all of our amazing learning this term around the story of Hansel and Gretel,
we would like to have a ‘Hansel and Gretel Day’.

This would be on Tuesday 15th October 2019 and children can dress up as a character from Hansel and Gretel (Hansel, Gretel, Stepmother, Woodcutter, Trees, Gingerbread house/person etc).

We are planning a fun day of Hansel and Gretel themed activities including:

Baking our own gingerbread people

Designing our own gingerbread house

Going on our very own breadcrumb hunt around the school using clues from Hansel and Gretel

All the children will need to do is come to school in fancy dress on Tuesday 15th October 2019.

All of the baking ingredients will be provided – due to allergies and intolerances within the class all ingredients will be gluten free.

Ingredients for the gingerbread

Gluten free plain flour

Bicarbonate of soda

Cinnamon

Butter

Light soft brown sugar

Eggs

Golden Syrup

Icing Sugar

Writing Icing Tubes

A letter and consent form with all of the above information will be going home on Friday 4th October 2019. I would greatly appreciate it if consent slips can be returned as soon as possible and at the latest by Tuesday 8th October 2019.
