In English we have continued to learn more sounds and have reached the end of Phase 3 Letters and Sounds. We have been working hard with our independent writing skills and using the new sounds we have learnt in our writing as well as the high frequency words we have learnt. We have started to read, listen and respond to a class text "The Enchanted Woods" which we are really enjoying.
We continue to work in smaller groups for phonics.
The sounds we have now learnt are:
s, a, t, p, i, n, m, d, g, o, c, k, ck, e, u, r, h, b, f, ff, l, ll, ss, j, v, w, x, y, z, qy, sh, ch, th, ng, ai, ee, igh, oa, oo, ar, or, ur, ow, oi, ear, air, ure, er

In Maths we have continued to order, count and recognise numbers 1 - 20, as well as counting to 100. We have recapped our knowledge of 2D & 3D shapes and have been measuring items in the classroom using standard and non standard measuring tools. We have been learning subtraction this term and consolidating our number bonds to 10.
We continue to focus on the correct formation of numbers, the songs can be found by clicking here.
In Knowledge and Understanding of the World we have been learning about all the different types of jobs that people do, how they do them and the special vehicles some people need to assist in these jobs.
We continue to visit the computer suite every week and are developing our computer skills. Most of us can sign onto the computer on our own and close the computer down too.
On the last day of term we invited our Parents or special adult to come and play with us during the afternoon. We had a wonderful time and we think the parents did too.
