Sports Premium Funding 2017-2018

 

Allocations for the academic year 2017 to 2018 are calculated using the number of pupils in years 1 to 6, as recorded in the January 2017 census. Schools with 17 or more pupils receive £16,000 plus £10 per pupil

Development of healthy eating facility

Drawing from local and nation campaigns, support for children/families identified who require differentiated support to engage with physical activity and promoting healthy living behaviours.

Purchase of Wake and Shake programme

Increase range of cooking equipment to enable larger group of children access to club e.g. utensils, bowls, pans

Improved storage and access for current PE provision.

Enables school to purchase wider range of equipment to support delivery of higher quality PE lessons.

Cover for teacher to attend A.S.A Swimming Certificate CPD Children will have access to another member of staff qualified to teach swimming who is able to deliver higher quality swimming lessons to ensure more children meet and exceeding minimum curriculum requirements. £450 cover for teacher
Swimming Lifeguard Support the teaching of swimming and ensuring children/adult safety. £375
Swimming Coach Children have access to another member of staff qualified to teach swimming who is able to deliver higher quality swimming lessons to ensure more children meet and exceeding minimum curriculum requirements. £625
PE lead time Cover for PE lead to attend PE lead meetings, develop programme for healthy living club plus monitoring of PE and sport across the school. £300 cover for teacher
Purchase of equipment Enable purchase of equipment to broaden sports currently delivered, update/replace older equipment and increase variety of equipment to support development and delivery of higher quality PE lessons. £2770 approx.
